S4-5 – Targets related to managing material negative impacts, advancing positive impacts, and managing material risks and opportunities
We establish our targets related to consumers and end-users through a structured process that involves gathering insights from stakeholders to ensure that our targets are informed by consumer insights, needs and perspectives. To assess our performance against targets as well as identify lessons or improvements, we actively engage with our consumers and end-users, ensuring that their insights and perspectives directly inform our evaluation. We track the effectiveness of our commitments and goals through audits, due diligence processes, feedback, etc. For further information on the processes and approaches, please refer to the following sections. Privacy risk
Our goal is to comply with all applicable privacy laws and regulations. Although we do not have a distinct target for this ambition, we are dedicated to ensuring that our privacy practices meet the highest standards and protect the personal information of our consumers and stakeholders. This commitment is reflected in our daily operations and the continuous improvement of our privacy policies and procedures.
Health and safety risk
Product safety is imperative. Our ambition is to ensure that 100% of our products are safe. While we do not have a separate target outlining this ambition, we are committed to managing the risk of selling defective products that could cause injury to consumers. To mitigate this risk, we have implemented company-wide product safety policies, as mentioned above. SEE S4-4
Responsible marketing practices impacts
Ensuring responsible marketing practices is an ongoing effort that we actively pursue, with several guidelines and future directions that are currently (re-)developed. Although we do not have a separate target for this ambition, we strive to comply with current legislative requirements and ensure that our marketing strategies align with ethical standards and consumer expectations. Additionally, adidas aims to design and improve the processes to ensure compliance at all times.
